Dreams for Kid’s, LLC
is passionate about helping kids reach their dreams in life.
Our mission is to help build a child’s character by giving them
the tools they need to believe in themselves and respect
others. Through interaction with current and former
professional athletes as mentors we want the children to
understand the importance of education and inspire them to
become great people in society.
|

“Dare to Dream”
is designed to reach adolescents from ages 7 – 18 years of age.
This is an age where children are more vulnerable to peer
pressure, but receptive to listen and learn. It is an
educational support program that concentrates on providing the
maturing adolescent with valuable information about LIFE
experiences. This program utilizes the experience and insight
of professional athletes, entertainers, business and community
leaders as role models to the youth of today. We have open
discussions and activities that help them realize the
achievement and rewards of their dreams. |

Lonnie Allgood
learned early in life that big dreams along with hard work will
always pay off, and it was this fervent belief that motivated
Lonnie to be the first one in his family to attend college.
Along with his drive and determination came a gifted athlete
that received a full scholarship from Syracuse University. He
work tireless at both his academics and athletics and was
rewarded for his efforts by graduating with a degree in
sociology after which the Cincinnati Bengals drafted him into
the NFL, the fulfillment of a life long dream.

After several years
of playing football, Lonnie came to the realization that the
path that led him to a successful and fulfilling life needed to
be shared with the youth of today. It was now his new dream to
communicate the values he had learned through experience and
help uplift and motivate troubled kids and help set them on a
path towards a better more hope filled life. While working in
the corporate world Lonnie connected with an organization called
“Goals for Youth”. An after school mentoring program that
validated Lonnie’s belief that kids need direction and
encouragement to reach their full potential.
In 1999, Lonnie
branched out and started, “Pro’s for Kids” a unique company that
cares about uplifting the lives of children, showing them a
better more productive path and as a results building better
communities. The “Pro’s for Kids – Dare to Dream” program has
been shared in hundreds of schools across the tri-state area
covering such topics as: say no to drugs, self-esteem, character
building, respect, dream building, positive attitudes, and
bullying. In addition, “Pro’s for Kids” has partnered with many
schools and organizations to raise funds to support their needs.
Along the way, Lonnie has been recognized for his dedication to
improving the lives of children, helping in the fight against
drug and alcohol abuse, and instilling values that have helped
change lives for the better. He has received many awards for
his work such as The Courier News’ Volunteer of the Year award,
USA Today’s Drug Busters Award, the Goals for Youth Golden Hands
Award, and the Governor’s Highway Safety Aware, just to name a
few. |

|
Lonnie has also been invited to be the keynote speaker for many
different organizations including the State of New Jersey’s
Governor’s Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Annual Alliance
Summit, Partners for Success – Asbury Park, New Jersey, the Dan
Institute Family Values Conference, Trenton Municipal Alliance
Committee Youth Conference and many others too numerous to
mention.
Lonnie Allgood has
spent the better part of his life giving back to the community,
sharing those experiences that have made his own life
successful, and providing much needed guidance and encouragement
to children and young adults.
